Frank F. Osga, 93, of New Britain, Ct. died Friday January 31, 2014 at the Hospital of Central Ct. @ New Britain General. Frank was born in New Britain and was the son of the late Louis and Catherine Osga. He was a member of St. Jerome Church, New Britain, Ct. He retired from the Emhart Corp.
Frank was the beloved husband of the late Ceil Osga. Frank is survived by his children; Theresa Eckert and her husband Karl of New Britain, Ct., Michael Osga of Farmington, Ct., Betty, Andrew, Thomas and Annmarie Osga of New Britain, Ct, Joanne Osga and Christian Boutot of New Britain, Ct., his daughter-in-law, Dianne Osga of Farmington, Ct., his sister, Sophie Wojtkowiak of Berlin, Ct., his brother, Stanley of the Philippines, his five grandchildren; Joanne Handley and her husband Michael of Stamford, Ct., Hans Eckert of Portland, Ct., Janice Latozas and her husband Pat of Thomaston, Ct., Melissa Osga of New Britain, Ct. and Christine Osga of Newington, Ct., his four great grandchildren; Gavin Latozas, Lauren, Emelia and Eli Eckert and several nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his two sons, Richard and David Osga, his granddaughter, Nancy Osga, his two brothers, Joseph and Edward and his sister, Maryann. The Osga family expresses their deep appreciation and gratitude to their dad’s doctors, Dr. Joseph Harrison and Dr. Robert Malkin, for their kindness, concern and support during Frank’s illness.
Funeral rites for Frank will be held Tuesday February 4, 2014 with the procession departing at 9:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, Ct. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Road, New Britain, Ct. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt Street, New Britain, Ct. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, Tuesday from 8:15 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or West – Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) right off exit – one mile down on right.
