Obituary for Marie C. Fredericks

Marie Catherine (Fusaro) Fredericks, 94, of New Britain, Ct., wife of the late James E. Fredericks, Jr., passed away into the loving arms of our Lord Thursday March 20, 2014 at home. Marie was born in New Britain, Ct. and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Manno) Fusaro. She was a resident of New Britain for many years and graduated from New Britain High School. While raising her own children, Marie also raised several foster children. She was also a member of St. Jerome Church and the Legion of Mary.
Marie is survived by her three sons, Dick Fredericks and his companion Joann Burnett of Berlin, Ct., Jack Fredericks and his wife Fran of East Hampton, Ct. and Jim Fredericks, III and his wife Patti of New Britain, Ct., her sister, Bette Smulski and her husband Charles of Berlin, Ct., her twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Marie is reunited with her husband of sixty-four years, James Fredericks, Jr., her daughter, Arlene, her granddaughter, Dionne and her brother Louis Fusaro, where the Lord watches over them.
Funeral rites for Marie will be held Monday March 24, 2014 with the procession departing at 10:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, CT followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Road, New Britain, Ct. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley Street, New Britain, Ct. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, Monday from 9:15 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or West – Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) right off exit – one mile down on right.
