Leonel P. “Leo” Echagarrua, 54, of Burlington, CT died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 20th, 2014.
Leo was born in Havana, Cuba and was the son of Caridad Suarez, and the late Leonel Pedro Echagarrua. He took great pride in his employment at Connecticut Light and Power where he worked for over 30 years, primarily as a lineman. Leo also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and camping and hiking with his children. He was always happy to help those in need.

Leo leaves behind Suzy Echagarrua, loving wife of 33 years, and his children, Nicole Semmelrock and Ethan Echagarrua, as well as Nicole’s husband, Joe, and their three children, Joey, Trent, and Maggie. Additionally, he is also survived by his brother, Augusto Madera, sister, Mara Madera, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was also predeceased by his grandparents. We hope Leo finds peace and comfort in the arms of his loving grandmother, Margarita Suarez.

Shaker/ Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT., Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Directions to funeral home I-84 East or West, Exit 37 (Fienemann Rd.) right off exit – one mile down on right.
