Catherine B. Valenti, 95, of New Britain, CT. died Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at The Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Catherine was born in Priola, Italy and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Concetta (Ratinieri) Bramante. She worked as a seamstress for New Britain Garment and was also a member of St. Ann Church for several years.
Catherine is survived by her sister Dolores Paladino of New Britain, CT her two nieces Joyce Grem and her husband Bill, Lisa Mariano and her husband Enzo, six nephews Michael Alos and his wife Jan, Joseph Paladino, Richard Paladino and Debbie and Steven Paladino and his wife Gladys, Frank and Alex Simonetti and several great nieces and nephews. Catherine was predeceased by her husband Sebastian J. Valenti and her sister Palma Alos. The Valenti family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Catherine’s caregivers Margaret and Magdalena for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Church. Aunt Kitty, we will cherish the memories and miss you dearly.
Funeral rites for Catherine will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 with the procession departing at 9:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Saturday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Directions to funeral home – I84 East or West – Exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
