Mary T. Fuggetta, 88, of Newington, CT., died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Mary was born in Priolo, Sicily, Italy and was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Constance (Aparo) Lombardo. She was self employed as an interior decorator for several years. Mary was a member of St. Ann Church, loved to dance, play cards, solve puzzles and enjoyed spending quality time with her family.
Mary is survived by her beloved companion John Vernale of Newington, CT., her son Robert Fuggetta and his wife Kris of Bristol, CT., her daughter Josephine Judge of Newington, CT., her daughter in law Doreen Fuggetta of Weare, NH. her brother Joseph Lombardo and his wife Judy of Newington, CT., seven grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Nicole, Justin, Derek, Elyse, Karli, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Frank Fuggetta, her son Frank Fuggetta, her son in law Tom Judge and sister Zina Amato.
Funeral Rites for Mary will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 10 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
