Wilford Gill LaCombe, of New Britain, CT, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Tuesday December 8, 2015. Gill was born in Canada, on August 23, 1939 and raised in Maine. He moved to New Britain, CT in early 1960s, where he met his wife Josephine and raised their family. Gill spent many years as a contractor and later worked as a truck driver until retirement from Siracusa Movers. He was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Sonzella LaCombe, along with his parents and several brothers and sisters. He leaves his daughters, Jennifer Plona and husband Mark, of Farmington, CT, Suzanne McMahan and husband Brian, of Barkhamsted, CT, his grandchildren Amanda, Matthew and Luke Plona of Farmington, CT. He also leaves his brother Mike LaCombe and wife Carolyn, of Boynton Beach FL, sisters Julliet Robideau, of Brewer, ME, Gilberta Dunphy and husband Rev. Robert Dunphy of Fort Pierce, FL , Lucille Nelson of Presque Isle, ME, Noella Valiancort of Wallingford, CT, Madeline Coffin of Mars Hill ME, and Frances Robinson and Jerry of Presque Isle, ME. He also leaves his sister in law, Connie Sonzella, of New Britain, CT, several nieces and nephews, good friends and his dog Shadow. A funeral service will be held at St. Ann's Church, North Street, New Britain, CT on Saturday December 19, at 10 a.m.
