Harriet H. Trimble, 84, of New Britain, CT peacefully joined her Heavenly Father Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 at the Hospital for Special Care, New Britain, after a long illness. Harriet was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Deacon Walter Beeks and Gladys E. (Riley) Reed. During that time, Harriet attended local schools in Atlanta before moving to Connecticut with her three children-Charlie, Diane and Carl (Skeeter) Brown. New Britain became her home and she married the love of her life, Levi Trimble. Harriet made a lifelong career working for New Britain General Hospital for more than 30 years as supervisor of the Mercury Service Dept.; where she was well known as Mrs. T. As a member of Second Baptist Church, New Britain, she was very active in many committees. Harriet leaves behind her loving husband of 42 years, Levi Trimble, of New Britain, CT, a son, Carl (Skeeter) Brown (wife Yolanda) and their family in Texas, a sister, Alice Tolbert of Atlanta, her grandson, Calvin Foster, Jr. and family of Atlanta, a stepson, Levi Shawn Trimble and their family in New York, stepdaughter, Sherry Horsey, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two God daughters, her sister-in-law, Georgia Benson, her brother-in-law, Willie Trimble of New Britain, Ct. and a host of nieces and nephews. Harriet was predeceased by her children, Charlie Brown and Diane Foster. Homegoing Celebration for Harriet will be held Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015 at 11 am at Second Baptist Church, 55 Chapman Street, New Britain, Ct. with the Rev. Hugh O. Brooks, Pastor, presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley Street, New Britain, Ct. Relatives and friends may call at Second Baptist Church Wednesday from 10 am to 11 am.
