Edward W. Lubin, 83, of New Britain, Ct., passed away on Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Ed was born in The Bronx, New York and was the son of the late Orrin H. and Mildred L.(Kotas)Goodrich. Edward married Barbara A. Jurewicz on March 30, 1954; they were married for 62 years. He retired from Duncasters New England Airfoil, Farmington, Ct., in March 1994. Edward served his country honorably in the U. S. Air Force - Air National Guard during the Korean War.
Edward is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son Edward Lubin and his wife, Gloria, his son, John Lubin, his son-in-law, Wesley Maciejewski, his grandchildren, Angela, Edward, Jr., Jeffery, Ryan, Matthew, Kayla, his fourteen great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; his two Golden Retrievers - Taylor and Duke, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Edward was predeceased by his daughter, Diane Maciejewski and two brothers, George Lubin and Robert Goodrich.
Funeral rites for Mr. Lubin will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, Ct. Burial with full military honors will be in the Veterans Spousal Section of Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley Street, New Britain, Ct. The American Flag will be presented to Edward's wife, Barbara. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
