Obituary for Sylvia C. Freeman

Sylvia C. Freeman, 77, of Plainville, CT., passed peacefully Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Sylvia was born in Lewiston, Maine and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Pouliot) Berube. She spent her childhood there and attended high school. She moved to Plainville where she held various positions including GEMS for ten years. Sylvia was on a bowling league, and Carol, a dear friend would meet with her every Wednesday evening. She loved the ocean and enjoyed long walks on the beach and swimming. Sylvia went to camp in Maine every year where she could be found water skiing. She collected colbalt blue and you would often see her in antique places, yard sales and flea markets. Sylvia attended St. Matthews Church for many years. She will be missed by family and friends.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter Donna Aldrich and her husband Richard, her sister Rachael Holland and her husband B.J., her son-in-law James Brunelle, grandchildren Giavanna and Joshua Brunelle, her brother Roger Berube and his wife Janet. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Edward Stoors Freeman, her daughter Jill A. Brunelle and sister-in-law Janet Freeman.
A graveside service will be celebrated on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at West Cemetery, North Washington St., Plainville, CT. There are no calling hours. The Paul A.
