Peter E. Walton, 89, of New Britain, CT., died Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Touchpoints at Farmington. Peter was born in New Britain, CT and was the son of the late Peter and Stephania (Warsiewicz) Wojoulewicz. He worked as a union plumber for twenty-five years and then went to work for Mattabassett Sewer District for several years and was also a member of Holy Cross Church, New Britain, CT. Peter served his country honorably during both World War II and the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps.
Peter is survived by his son Matthew Walton and his wife Nancy, of Berlin, CT his daughter Janet Walton and her husband David Harris of Medford, MA., his brother Walter Wojoulewicz , his sister Jean D’Apice and her husband Nick, his nephew Dan D’Apice all of New Britain, CT., his sister-in-law Lucy Jawin of Bristol, CT., his five grandchildren – Krystin, Jesse, Rhiannon, Quentin and Jacob, his six great grandchildren – Janaleeze, Kailena, Isiah, Jaden, Seva and Jovani. Peter was predeceased by his wife Johanna Walton, his daughter Patricia Warzocha, his son-in-law James Warzocha and his brother Edward Walton.
Funeral rites for Peter will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial with full military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT. The American flag will be presented to Mr. Walton’s son, Matt. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Wednesday from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home - I-84 east or west – exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
