Walter D.  Kalinowski, Jr.
Walter D. Kalinowski, Jr., 88, of Newington, CT., died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Walter was born in New Britain, CT., and was the son of the late Walter D. Sr. and Bertha (Baldyga) Kalinowski. He worked at Stanley Works for several years. Walter was a sports fan and avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Walter is survived by his two brothers Fred Kalinowski and Robert Kalinowski both of Newington, CT., his sister Dorothy Northover and her husband Robert of Lady Lake, Florida, his two nephews Paul and Craig Northover and his special friends Angela Circosta, Kathryn Pellegrini, Lalisa West and Melissa Vancour. Walter was predeceased by his sister Dorota Kalinowski.
Funeral rites for Walter will be held Friday, October 14, 2016 with the procession departing at 9:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT., followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 626 Willard Ave., Newington, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in West Meadow Cemetery, 679 Willard Ave., Newington, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd), right off exit – one mile down on right.
