Gerald Thomas Aleksiewicz, 55, of Meriden, CT., died unexpectedly Monday, October 17, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Gerald was born in Hartford, CT and was the son of the late Edward and June (Goggin) Aleksiewicz. He attended New Britain High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. Gerald loved playing the drums, boxing and going to the gym to workout. His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins. Gerald was a loyal friend to many people and they all loved him.
Gerald is survived by his three brothers Michael, Wayne, and Edward Aleksiewicz, his two sisters RoseAnne Rivera and Ruth Bergagnin and several nieces and nephews and best friends Joseph Palladino, Cathy Madley and her son Ryan Madley.
A Celebration of Gerald’s life will be held Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
