Concetto DiMauro, 70, of New Britain, CT passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, October 30, 2016 surrounded by his loving fa mily. Concetto was predeceased his loving wife Debra DiMauro and his late parents, Vincenzo DiMauro and Lucia Bosco-DiMauro. Concetto was born in Priolo Gargalo, Sicily, but he resided in New Britain since 1967. He was a mason and machine operator at Stanley Works in New Britain. Concetto was a member of the Generale Ameglio Italian Civic Association in New Britain for over 40 years. He will always be remembered as a loving, caring and helping person; always putting his family first. Concetto’s love of travel with his wife and children took him around the world. He loved watching his favorite Italian soccer team, Juventus and rooting for the Boston Red Sox with his children and grandchildren.
Concetto is survived and will be dearly missed by his four children Vincenzo DiMauro and wife Kelli DiMauro, Lucia M. DiMauro, Concetto DiMauro and Anthony DiMauro and wife Taylor DiMauro, and his beloved grandchildren, Steven, Vincenzo and Alexis. He is also survived by his caring sisters and brother and their spouses Paola and Frank Lonero; Enza and Annibale Castrogiovanni, Pina DiMauro-Longo; Maria and Douglas Jacobs and his brother, Salvatore and Lynell DiMauro. He will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews who adored him and three special friends, Logan Flanigan, Jeff Malicki, and Rebecca.
Funeral Rites for Concetto will be held Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
