Doris A. Kannenberg, 85, of Plainville, CT. died Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Doris was born in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Leone (Pelletier) Piquette. She was an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force (Korea) and served her country honorably. Doris worked at General Electric for several years and was a member of The American Legion in Plainville.
Doris is survived by her three sisters Marie Calcinari and her husband Frederick of New Britain, CT., Lucille Lopes and her husband Angel of Puerto Rico and Jeannette Roy and her husband Al of Holyoke, MA. Doris was predeceased by her husband Richard, her daughter Ann Marie Rode and two brothers Emil & Joseph Piquette and her sister Irene (Piquette) Sumbury.
Funeral rites for Doris will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial with full military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT. The American flag will be presented to Doris’s sister Marie. There are not calling hours.
