Mitchell M. Roy, 55, of New Britain, CT., a beloved brother and uncle, died Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Hartford Hospital. Mitchell was born in Fort Kent, Maine and was the beloved son of Verna (Theriault) Roy-Perreault of New Britain, CT and the late Joel Roy. He attended Pulaski High School then began his working journey as a laborer. Mitch loved the outdoors and enjoyed working in any job that would keep him out in the open fresh air. He had many skills and always ready to extend a helping hand to anyone in need and took great pride in everything he did.
In addition to his mother, Mitch is survived by his brother Philip Roy and Pamela DiPasquale of Southington, CT and his children Meghan, Kaitlin Roy and great nephews Mason and Landen Roy of Bristol, CT., and Spencer, Trevor, Tyler Roy of Plainville, CT. as well as several uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews which he loved them all unconditionally.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Liturgy of Christian Burial Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol, CT. Everyone is kindly requested to go directly to the church. Cremation will follow the funeral. Private entombment will be in St. Mary’s Garden Mausoleum, St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain, CT. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 right off exit – one mile down on right. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Church.
