Obituary for Antoinette E. "Dolly" Roccasecca

Antoinette E. “Dolly” (Caccamo) Roccasecca, 82, of Southington, CT passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Autumn Lake Healthcare @ New Britain, CT. Antoinette was born on May 1, 1934 in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jane (Derosia) Caccamo. She graduated from Plainville High School and worked for Pratt & Whitney and Colt Industries for 28 years as a sales clerk. Antoinette was the beloved wife of the late Dante Roccasecca, Sr. She was a deeply caring person, devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren. Antoinette had many interests including gardening, cooking and knitting. She also loved her pets Maverick, Molly and Tucker who she fed often and would take rides with. Antoinette spent many years with her grandchildren telling them stories, making them laugh, teaching them rhymes, bringing them to the park and places in town. She gave everything to her family and others who knew her, always looking at the good in everyone. Antoinette was always striking up a conversation with people she just met like they were old friends. She will be dearly missed.
Antoinette is survived by her son, Dante Roccasecca, Jr. and his wife Katy of Southington, CT, her three grandchildren Anthony, Gabriella and Asia Roccasecca, her brother Joseph Caccamo and his wife Chrissy of Bristol, CT and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral rites for Antoinette will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 10 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT., followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 544 Main St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd), right off exit- one mile down on right.
