George David, Jr., 84, of West Hartford, CT. died Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at St. Mary Home, West Hartford, CT. George was born in New Britain, CT and was the son of the late George Sr., and Mary (Baba) David. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. George owned and operated the George David Company for sixty years in West Hartford, CT. He was also a member of St. Thomas Assyrian Church of the East, New Britain, CT. George loved to fix any type of automobile with his father and was an avid fan of the 76ers.
George is survived by his beloved wife - Eileen David of West Hartford, CT, his three sons – Charles David and his wife Zhanna of North Carolina, Michael David of West Hartford, CT and Robert David and his wife Jessica of New Britain, CT, his daughter – Laura O’Shea and her husband Maurice of West Hartford, CT., his two sisters Theresa Sullivan and her husband Robert and Linda David all of New York, NY., his two grandchildren Meghan and Conor, three nephews – David Sullivan, Daniel Sullivan and his wife Amy and Matthew Sullivan and his wife Sara, his two great nephews Jacob and Matthew Sullivan and his great niece Ava Sullivan. George was predeceased by his sister Agnes David.
Funeral rites for George will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 with the procession departing at 10:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT., followed by a funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Assyrian Church of the East, 120 Cabot St., New Britain, CT. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Thomas Assyrian Cemetery, Barbour Rd., New Britain, CT. The American flag will be presented to George’s wife, Eileen. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
