Ramiro Suarez, 65, of New Britain, CT passed away peacefully at home Sunday morning January 8, 2017. Waiting to welcome him home are his father Waldimiro, his Mother Margarita, brothers Jesus and Rafael “Chico” Suarez Ramiro touched the lives of many. Ramiro was a coach for the Fagan league in the mid 90's and a cub scout leader. He was employed by CL&P/Northeast Utilities and retired after 33 years of service. Ramiro enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, gardening, lawn work, walks with is little princess Callie who never left his side. He also loved cook-outs with his family and friends.
Ramiro leaves behind his wife of 45 years Linda Suarez of New Britain, CT, two sons Ramiro Suarez Jr, and his wife Theresa and son Michael Suarez, all of Bristol, CT, his brother Jose “Pepi” Suarez his sister Caridad “Cacha” Suarez, two grandsons Nathan and Preston, his best friend and little helper Calli, his grand dog Junior as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral rites for Ramiro will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
