Thomas R. Angels, 88, of Southington, CT entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at the Rocky Hill Veterans Home and Hospital. Tom was born in Bristol, CT and was the son of the late Thomas and Philomena (DiYulio) Angels. He worked as a Spring Maker for Northeaster Shaped Wire for several years. Tom served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed his quality time with family, dancing, cooking, bowling and golfing.
Thomas is survived by his two sons, Timothy Angels of Southington, CT, Christopher Angels of Salt Lake City, Utah, his daughter Kelly (Angels) Allen of Southington, CT, his former wife Catherine Angels of Bristol, CT, his four grandchildren whom he adored Taylor O’Keefe and her husband Rick, Ian Angels, Zachary Allen and his wife Elizabeth and Mackenzie Angels, his loving three great grandchildren Molly, Avery and Greyson and several nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his two brothers Donald and Ronald Angels.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Tom’s life Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southington, CT. Military honors for Mr. Angels will be accorded by the U.S. Army at the church after the service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville, CT. There are no calling hours.
