Obituary for Frank F. Molnar

Frank F. Molnar, 86, of New Britain, Conn., died Monday, May 15, 2017 at home with his loving family around him. Frank was born in Halaszi, Hungary and was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Pausisits) Molnar. He received Culinary Training by some of the most prestigious chefs in Central Europe to become an Executive Chef. The last twenty-eight years of employment were at United Technologies Corporation, as Personal Chef for the CEO and Executive Leadership. Hobbies included dancing, flower and vegetable gardening, cooking for numerous occasions for the various social clubs he was a member of and visits to the casino. What Frank treasured the most was the time he spent with family and friends. He was a member of the Elks Fraternal Organization, Lodge 957, of New Britain; Austrian-Hungarian Club of New Britain; Hartford Liederkranz; Connecticut Chefs Association; Mount Laurel Ski Club, and Saint Jerome Church, New Britain, Conn.

Frank is survived by his three sons, Frank Molnar, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Burlington, Conn, Zoltan Molnar and his wife Marilynn of Southington, Conn., and Tamas Molnar and his wife Kathryn of New Britain, Conn., his three grandsons: Frank III, Michael, and Daniel, his three granddaughters: Amanda, Samantha, and Alycia, and one great-grandson: Brock, his two brothers Imre (James) Molnar of Kensington, Conn., Gabor Molnar of Daytona, Fla., and his sister Ilona DiDio of Deltona, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his beloved brothers Joseph Molnar and Steve Molnar.

Funeral rites for Frank will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. with procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Road, New Britain. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St, New Britain. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. Directions to the funeral home: I-84 East or West – Exit 37 Fienemann Road) right off exit – one mile down on the right. The Elks Lodge #957 will hold a ritual at 6 p.m. The family respectfully asks in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Center, 825 Brook Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
