Marian (Gionfriddo) Glass, 92, of New Britain, CT passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Sam. Marian was born in Dysart, PA and lived in New Britain, CT. Marian loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and UCONN Women's basketball. She was an amazing woman and will be missed very much.
Marian is survived by her two sons Les (Kathy) Glass and Craig (Mary) Glass; her grandchildren David, Jason, Megan (Christopher), Katie and Kelly (Sadie); and great-grandchildren Colin and Natalie, her sister Evelyn and many nephews and nieces. Marian is also predeceased by her brothers, Sebastian and Angelo and sisters Jean, Lou, Pauline and Mary.
Funeral rites for Marian will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 with the procession departing at 9:45 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
