Angelo Fuschino, 79, of Berlin, CT., passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut @ New Britain General. Angelo was born on March 9, 1938 in Telese, Province of Benevento Italy and was the son of the late Filippo and Elvira (Conte) Fuschino. In 1970, Angelo wed the love of his life, Elisabetta, whom predeceased him in 2010. Angelo was employed for numerous years at the former Fafnir Bearing in New Britain and TM Industries in Berlin where he eventually retired. Angelo will be remembered by his sons, nephews and friends for the countless fishing and hunting trips and his meticulous vegetable gardens.
Angelo is survived by his two sons and daughter-in-laws, Philip and Laurie Fuschino and Salvatore and Teresa Fuschino; seven beloved grandchildren, Joshua, Lexie, Anthony, Gabriella, Tyler, Isabella and Marco; his sister Josephine Damiano and her husband Stephen, brother-in-law Pietro Verrillo, sister-in-law Antonietta Crispo, brother-in-law Mario DiSalvo and sister-in-law Maria Crispo, several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Angelo was predeceased by his loving sister Maria Verrillo; his in-laws Salvatore and Catherina Crispo; sister-in-law Maria DiSalvo; and three brother in-laws Angelo, Vincenzo and Pietro Crispo.
Funeral rites for Angelo will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Entombment will be in St. Mary’s Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
