Helen J. Guenther, 77, of Bristol, CT, formerly of Plainville, CT. passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut @ New Britain General surrounded by her loving family. Helen was born January 14, 1940 in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen K. (Socha) Rockofsky. Prior to moving to Bristol in 2013, Helen had lived in Plainville with her late husband, Merwin J. Guenther for 37 years.

Helen is survived by her four children, Beverly Ann LaPointe and her husband Mark of Croydon, NH, Carol Martin and her husband Timothy of Ormond Beach, FL, Carl Guenther and his wife Bruni of Ciales, PR and Ann Marie Raffles and her husband Raymond of Bristol, CT, her ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, her brother Richard Zesk and his wife Ann, Her sisters Virginia Drost and her husband Edward, Adeline Kleckowski and Barbara Ortner and many nieces and nephews.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Merwin J. Guenther, her great-grandson, Dominic J.S. Pillsbury and her brother Walter Zesk. A special thanks to all her friends including those from Daybreak in Plainville, CT who meant so much to her.

Funeral rites for Helen will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 6 p.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. followed by a remembrance reception. Directions to funeral home - I-84 east or west - exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right. Cremation will follow the funeral and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain, CT.
