Obituary for Homer B. "Chick" Perry

Homer B. “Chick” Perry, 82, of New Britain, CT peacefully entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 27, 2017. Chick was the beloved husband of the late Johanna (Green) Perry. He was born in Wayne County, West Virginia on May 17, 1935 and was the son of the late Fee and Minnie (Hundley) Perry. Chick resided in Connecticut for the past sixty-seven years. He was the youngest of six children. Johanna and Chick enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and traveling to attend bluegrass festivals. Chick was a devoted, loving husband. He carried so much love for his family and would do anything for them. Chick will be lovingly remembered by his brother, George and his wife Pat Perry and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. In addition to his wife, Homer was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. His family will forever cherish the memories left behind.
Funeral services for Homer will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Homer will be buried next to his beloved wife, Johanna in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) – right off exit – one mile down on right.
