Shirley E. Ozga, 87, of Bristol, CT died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at home. Shirley was born in Hartford, CT and was the daughter of the late Francis and Nellie (Hunt) Vincent. She worked at Light Metals in Southington, CT and retired in 1994. Shirley was a member of St. Ann’s Church in Bristol. She loved to crochet blankets for her family.
Shirley is survived by her two sons – Gary Cooper of New Britain, CT and Edward R. Ozga, Jr. and his wife Robin of Southington, CT, her daughter Donna Martin of Naugatuck, CT her three grandchildren Patricia, Michael and Edward, her great grandchildren Justin, Allesandra and Ciera. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Edward R. Ozga, Sr., her brother Edward Vincent and sister Mildred Hinson, and her grandson Joey Ozga.
Funeral rites for Shirley will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT., followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 254 Burritt St., Plantsville, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in South End Cemetery, South End Rd., Southington, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd), right off exit – one mile down on right.
