Obituary for Ruby D. Williams (Turner)

Ruby Dean (Turner) Williams, 70, of New Britain, CT passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut @ New Britain with her family and loved ones by her side. Ruby was a native of Dawson, GA and was the daughter of the late Raymond Turner Sr. and Polly (Telfair) Turner. She was a retiree of General Electric Co. in Plainville, CT. She was best known for feeding the neighborhood kids and her love for GOD. She also enjoyed cooking, bowling and music.
Ruby is survived and will be dearly missed by her family her son - Calvin (Tiffany) Williams, her two daughters - Gloria (James) Amos, Shirley A. Williams all of New Britain, CT. her four sisters - Jessie P. Williams of Manchester, CT, Irene Mourn of Atlanta, GA, Lillie (Robert) Williams of New Britain, CT, and Minnie (Michael) Teal of East Hartford, CT. her two brothers - Raymond Turner, Jr of New Britain, CT and Jimmy Turner of East Hartford, CT eight grandchildren, LaTesha Billue-Fine, Willie E. Williams II, Julia T. Williams, Juwan Williams, Myles, Williams, Adria Amos, Cameron Glass and Jamya Amos. six great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Ruby was predeceased by her loving husband Willie Williams and her son Willie Edward Williams.
Homegoing Celebration for Ruby will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 45 Daly Ave., New Britain, CT. with the Rev. Dr. John W. Walker, Pastor, presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Service of comfort provided by the Paul A.
