Margaret Melillo, 97, of New Britain, CT passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Margaret was born in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Cucalluto) Tucciaroni. She was creative and talented and loved watching old movies, making crafts, going to the casino and playing the piano.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Maria Caputo and her husband John of Waterbury, CT. her two grandchildren Denise Picard and her husband Tom, Jo-Ann LoRusso and her husband Vinnie, Jr., her six great grandchildren Ashley, Kimberly, Kristen, Joelle, John and James and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Melillo and her companion of forty-six years Allan Halpern, her brother Angelo Tucciaroni and her five sisters Mary Russo, Palma Sarra, Carmella Georgeina , Florence Delldonna and Catherine Izzi. The Melillo family extends a thank you to Liberty Health Care and the Hospital of Central CT for Margaret’s wonderful care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Liturgy of Christian Burial Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Everyone is kindly requested to go directly to church on Wednesday morning. Burial will be private in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain, CT. There are no calling hours.
