Mrs. Addie G. Miller, 87, of New Britain, CT beloved wife of the late Preston Miller, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday, February 1, 2018 at The Jerome Home, New Britain. Addie was born in Hartsville, SC, and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Eloise (Gregorie) Chisholm. She was employed at New Britain General Hospital until her retirement. Addie enjoyed reading her bible, crocheting, crossword puzzles, gardening, and indulging in Caribbean delicacies.
Addie leaves behind her very special and dear friend Adrianna Sergeant, whom she lovingly refers to as her daughter, her family Dale (Sarge), Djavan, Jaden, Prestons’ children Brenda, Amelia, Linda, Preston Jr. and their extended family, and her special friend Archie Gray. She will be dearly missed by many loving friends in New Britain and surrounding towns. Adrianna would like to thank the staff at Jerome Home and the Hospital of Central CT. for the support, care, and compassion they showed Addie during her illness.
Homegoing Celebration for Addie will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 45 Daly Ave., New Britain, CT with the Rev. Dr. John W. Walker, Pastor, presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT.
