Jean C. Blejewski, 90, of New Britain, CT. died peacefully the morning of Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor, New Britain. Jean was born in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late Franciszek and Cecylia (Czajkowski) Polgroszek. She graduated from New Britain High School and retired from the UCONN Health Center as a Pathology Technician. Jean was married for more than fifty years to Henry J. Blejewski who passed away in 2002. She was a member of Holy Cross Church and was a member of the Rosary Society.

Jean is survived by her daughter Susan-Jean Belmont and her husband Rob of Rocky Hill, CT, her son-in-law Edward Yost of New Britain, CT, her two sisters Viola Truszkowski of New Britain, CT and Helen Boucher of New Hampshire, her four grandchildren – Ryan J. Belmont and his wife Shana of Glastonbury, CT, Kelly Guiliano and her husband Paul of East Hampton, CT, Corrine Bourgeois and her husband Scott of Salem, CT and Joseph Yost and his wife Jodi of Wethersfield, CT, her eight great grandchildren Ryan, Ava and Stella Belmont, Aiden Guiliano, Nicole and Zachary Bourgeois, Joseph and Cameron Yost. Jean was predeceased by her daughter Joanne Yost, her brother Edward Polgroszek, her sister Sophie Skonieczy and great grandson Jeffrey Bourgeois.

Funeral rites for Jean will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
