Sarah (Sally) Jane (Doherty) Clark, 93, of Berlin, CT died peacefully Saturday, March 3, 2018 at home. Sally was born in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Davey) Doherty. She graduated from New Britain High School in 1943. Sally was predeceased by her husband, William D. Clark. She was the consummate mother to eight children who adored her.
Sarah leaves her eight children William (Karen) Clark, John (Karen) Clark, Robert Clark, Mary Jane (Daniel) White, Ann Rival, Peter Clark, Sarah Clark and Janet (Anthony) Rasile. She also leaves fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Sarah was predeceased by her sister Mary Joyce, her three brothers John (Jim) Doherty, Thomas Doherty and Rev. Cornelius Doherty. “Her smile was made of sunshine, and her heart was solid gold” The Clark family would like to thank VITAS Hospice for taking great care of their mother.
A Celebration of Sarah’s life will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 485 Alling St., Kensington, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
