Dominic Michael Paventi, Jr., 58, of New Britain, CT died suddenly of a heart attack, Sunday, March 11, 2018. "Big Dom" was a lifelong resident of New Britain and attended local schools. He was an avid Red Sox, Oilers/Titans, Celtics, UConn, and NASCAR fan. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his granddaughters Layla and Isabella, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Dominic had a big personality and a bigger heart and will be missed by all who knew him.
Dominic is survived by his father Dominic Paventi, Sr; his mother Carol Paventi; his two sons Dominic Paventi III all of New Britain, CT and Jesse Paventi and his significant other Leslie Bekanich of Meriden, CT, his two brothers Robert Paventi of Kensington, CT and Tony Paventi; and his sister Margaret Joy Morales both of New Britain, CT, his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Dominic was predeceased by his infant brother, Brian Paventi.
A Celebration of Dominic’s life will be held Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
