Michael E. Zabrensky, 65, of Kensington, CT passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut @ New Britain General. Michael was born in New Britain on June 1, 1952 and was the son of the late Leon J. and Verna (Andrews) Zabrensky. He was a graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a degree in Psychology. A born entrepreneur, he was the owner and operator of Build and Design Construction, LLC. Michael was an active member of St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in East Berlin, often volunteering his time and talent. He also volunteered in the community with Project Homefront. Michael was active in the Boy Scouts, serving as an assistant scout master of Troop 24 in Berlin. He will be remembered for caring for others before himself.
Michael is survived by his three loving sons, Kevin of Meriden, CT, Kyle of New Britain, CT and Kristopher of Kensington, CT, his brother, Leon J. Zabrensky, Jr. and his wife Catherine of East Berlin, CT, his two sisters, Judith Dahlgren-Dechand and Verna DelCegno and her husband Carl all of Kensington, CT, his two aunts, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family are cordially invited to Michael’s memorial service to be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church, 68 Main St., East Berlin, CT with a reception and luncheon following. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church. The Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT has charge of arrangements.
