Edward Sikora, 93, of New Britain, CT died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General surrounded by his loving family. Edward was born in Wola Brzostecka, Poland and was the son of the late Frank and Josephine (Gurki) Sikora. He worked for several years as a machinist for New Britain Machine. Edward loved gardening and had a very generous heart and was kind to all. He was also member of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain.
Edward is survived by his three daughters – Krystyna Baranowski and her husband Marv of Berlin, CT, Maria Cheeseman and her husband Larry of Guildhall, VT and Anna Sikora-Lastauskas of New Britain, CT, his four grandchildren Jennifer, JoAnna, Nicole and Josef, his two great grandchildren Kyle and Ryan and several nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his wife Stanislawa Sikora and his son Henryk Sikora.
Funeral rites for Edward will be held Wednesday, March 28, 2018 with the procession departing at 9:15 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home Wednesday from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west, exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
