Robert J. Dobransky, 41, of New Britain, CT passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Robert was born in New Britain, CT on April 26, 1976 and was the son of Robert Barrows and Jean Dobransky. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandson and friend. Robert was affectionately nicknamed by his family and friends, Bobby Bugs, he will forever be remembered by all who knew him. Robert attended St. Joseph’s Middle School and high schools, Mary Immaculate Academy and New Britain High School. Bobby will always be remembered for his great personality, his smile, and willingness to help anyone in a time of need and his love for his family and friends.
Robert is survived his mother, Jean Dobransky Thomasen his wife Christine Dobransky and daughters, Brianna Dobransky and Kaylee Dobransky, his two brothers, Christopher Dobransky and Anthony Barrows, his sister, Julianna Barrows, CT, his grandmother, Lucille Dobransky, his close nieces, Angelina and Cara Dobransky, all of New Britain, CT, as well as several family members and friends. Robert was predeceased by his father Robert Barrows, his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Barrows and his maternal grandfather Peter Dobransky.
A Celebration of Bobby's life will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west – exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
