James C. Davis, 89, of New Britain, CT was called home Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Cassena Care of New Britain. James was born in Pamplico, SC and was the son of the late Ephraim and Carrie (Davis) Davis. He worked as a tool and die maker for North & Judd for several years. Mr. Davis served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War.
James is survived by his three daughters Jacqueline Farmer, Andrea Glass and her husband Conrad Glass and Rhonda Davis all of New Britain, CT, his four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, his sister Annie Pitman of Florence, S.C., his two brothers Ephraim Davis and his wife Stella of Philadelphia, PA and Charles Davis of New Britain, CT and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. James was predeceased by his wife Lenora Davis.
Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Davis will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 45 Daly Ave., New Britain, CT. with the Rev. Dr. John W. Walker, Pastor, presiding. Relatives and friends may call at St. James Missionary Baptist Church Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in the Veteran’s Spousal Section of Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT. The American flag will be presented to Mr. Davis’ daughter, Jacqueline. Service of Comfort and Compassion provided by the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT.
