Bernard A. “Beans” Wallen, 26, of Newington CT., passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 3, 2018 in New Britain, CT. Bernard was born in New Britain CT. and was the son of Reynard A. Wallen and Maria Flores. He graduated from New Britain High School in 2010 and was employed as a driver for Federal Express. Bernard had an infectious smile, and the comical sense of humor that lit up a room and the spreading of love to family and all who encountered him, as family and friends were all loved and it was his greatest priority in his precious world. He was passionate for what he enjoyed, for example drums, as he was part of the School’s drum band, known as “rip cord,” wrestling team and stage crew duties. Bernard also had a strong passion for vehicles, music, dancing and physical health-gym.
Bernard is survived by his mother, Maria Flores of New Britain, CT., his father Reynard A. Wallen of Hartford, CT, his twin brother Reynard A. Wallen, brother Jovan Bradley and sister Kimeisha Wallen of New Britain, CT., his step father, Thomas Fusco and step brother Dylan Fusco of New Britain, CT, his fiancée, Heather Ritchie of Newington, CT., his one year old daughter, Aaliyah and his expected child within December 2018. He also leaves behind his grandparents Jimmy and Primitiva Luciano, aunt Cathryn Luciano Smith and uncles Jimmy and Angel Luciano all of New Britain, CT. his grandmother, Esmin Wallen of Hartford, CT., his aunts Maxine and Andrea Wallen and uncle Craig Wallen of Hartford, CT. He also leaves behind his fiancée’s parents, Glen Ritchie and Carolyn Ritchie of Columbia, CT., to include Brandon Ritchie of Mansfield, CT. and Jordan Ritchie of Washington, DC., as well as several other uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who loved him dearly and unconditionally.
Funeral rites for Bernard will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 with the procession departing at 9:30 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 at St. Mary Church, 544 Main St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
