Jean M. Kayko, 92, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Sadlowski of New Britain, CT passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at The Hospital of Central Connecticut @ New Britain General. A native of New Britain and a graduate of New Britain High School, Jean worked as a secretary for numerous local companies including Stanley Works and Fafnir Bearing Company. An avid polka dancer and ping-pong player, she lived for more than 30 years in Berlin, CT where she and her husband, Henry Peter Kayko, raised their only son, Gregory.
Jean is survived by her son, Gregory Kayko, and her two grandchildren, Grace and Adam Kayko, of Waukee, Iowa. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Henry; three sisters, Stasia Szymanski, Helen Savickas, and Pauline Zielinksi; and one brother, Stanley Sadlowski. All were natives of New Britain. The Kayko family would like to extend their gratitude to Traci Matter and Dan and Sue Zielinski.
Funeral Rites for Jean will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
