Edward E. Jones, Jr., 73, of Burlington, CT died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his daughter’s home. Edward was born in Hartford, CT and was the son of Edward E., Sr. and Shirley (Devon) Jones. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Edward worked at Mueller Trade Bindery for several years as a book binder. He was an avid fisherman, loved the oldies especially The Beach Boys. Edward also enjoyed road trips and visiting historical places.
Ed is survived by his daughter – Jennifer Antonelli and her husband Greg of Burlington, CT and his granddaughter Jackie. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Ann Jones.
Funeral Rites for Ed will be held Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial with full military honors rendered by the United States Army will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT. The American flag will be presented to Mr. Jones’ daughter, Jennifer. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west - exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) right off exit – one mile down on right.
