Obituary for Junelle M. Giannini

Junelle M. Giannini, 75, of New Britain, CT and Old Saybrook, CT passed away peacefully Sunday, August 5, 2018 at home with her family by her side. Junelle was born in New Britain, CT on July 4, 1943, and was the daughter of Mae Sansone and the late Rocco Sansone. She graduated from New Britain High School in 1961. Junelle was married to her soul mate the late Raffaele Giannini for 49 years. She was a lifelong resident of New Britain. Junelle was well known by many. She worked at Burritt Savings Bank, Derby Savings Bank, Webster Savings Bank and retired from Achieve Financial Credit Union.
A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and aunt, she leaves her mother Mae Sansone, her son John Giannini and his wife Nancy (Perniciaro) Giannini of Old Saybrook, three grand-children, Gabriel, John Jr. and Alixandria, her daughter Lisa (Giannini) Pelletier and her husband Stephen Pelletier of New Britain, two grandchildren, Meghan, Seth and his girlfriend Jennifer Grabowski, her sister Laura Karas and her husband Robert of New Britain, her brother Rocco Sansone and Christine Begey of Tolland and several nieces and nephews.
Junelle will be remembered as a wonderful kind person. She was a very caring mother, wife and daughter. Junelle hated controversy and shied away from negativity. She was the (rock) of the family. Junelle cherished her children and grandchildren. Junelle loved playing cards; loved hosting parties; she loved cooking and baking for her family and friends. Junelle found peace at her summer home in Old Saybrook where you would find her on her front porch smiling. Heaven is so lucky to have our Angel and we are all blessed because GOD let us all spend time with her. The Giannini family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Hospice team who cared for Junelle.
A Celebration of Junelle’s life will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Committal service will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St., New Britain, CT. where Junelle’s cremains will be placed next to her Soulmate’s cremains (Raffaele Giannini). Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Directions to funeral home – I-84 east or west – exit 37 (Fienemann Rd) – right off exit – one mile down on right.
