Connie (Cugno) Grabeck, 94, of New Britain, CT passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018.
Born Concetta Mary Cugno, in Berlin, CT on May 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Pizzuto) Cugno, the wife of the late William Grabeck, and the Aunt/Guardian of the beloved and recently deceased Sharon Ludwin of Berlin, CT.
Connie is survived by her granddaughter Susan Ludwin, her grandson Stephen Ludwin Jr and wife Christina, her granddaughter Stefanie (Ludwin) Gagnon and husband David, her two great grandchildren David and Isabella Gagnon, as well as many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Connie worked and retired as a packer for the Fafnir Bearing Company, where she worked with her beloved husband and best friend, William Grabeck. They were both livelong members of the UAW.
While struggling with a brief bout of cancer, Connie passed peacefully in her sleep while taking her morning nap.
A calling hour and prayers will be held Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 9 am to 10 am at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, located at 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, CT. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in New Britain will be immediately following. Arrangements are being handled by the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home.
