Wilfredo Irizarry, Jr.
Wilfredo “Wilo” Irizarry, Jr., 48, of New Britain, CT died Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Hospital of Central CT @ New Britain General. Wilfredo was born in New Britain, CT and was the son of the late Wilfredo, Sr. and Irma (Gonzalez) Irizarry. He worked as a cook for the CT Juvenile Training Center. Wilo was a lifetime New Britain resident who was loved by the whole community. He enjoyed his time watching his daughters play softball and basketball, and his sons and nephews play baseball. He loved sports and was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. Wilo was an alumni for the New Britain High School Golden Hurricane marching band, as a drummer and was a supportive and active band parent while and after his own children participated. He also enjoyed spending time at Harvey's Beach, Old Saybrook and Lake Compounce with his wife and children. Wil had an everlasting humor and laugh that was contagious to any and everyone he encountered. Family is what mattered to him the most. His biggest memory will be the love that glowed through his smile seeing all of his loved ones together because that is what was important to him.
