Josephine “Josie” (Germano) Ruggiero, 94, of New Britain, CT passed away peacefully Friday, September 21, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Josie was born in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late John and Lucy (LaRosa) Germano. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching her son race, sewing, cooking and sharing all her delicious recipes which have been handed down from generation to generation.
Josie is survived by her son John Ruggiero and his wife Kim of Salisbury, NC, her grandson John Ruggiero and his wife Kristin, and their two children Nicholas and Lauren of Harrisburg, NC, her grandson Anthony Ruggiero and his wife Caterina and their son Massimo of Forestville, CT. She also leaves her twin brother Samuel Germano of Kensington, CT, her sisters Pauline Paganetti of Newington, CT, Angeline Mackiewicz and her husband Edward of Berlin, CT, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Josie will be forever remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Josie was predeceased by her husband Jess Ruggiero and her brother Thomas Germano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Josephine, Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain, CT. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley Street, New Britain, CT. There are no calling hours. The Paul A.
