Janet A. Zalot, 84, of New Britain, CT died Sunday, October 7, 2018 at her home. Janet was born in New Britain, CT and was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Bassen) Tyburski. She worked as an administrative secretary for several years at the Dept. of Environmental Protection Conservation and Preservation Law Enforcement.

Janet is survived by her son James A. Zalot of Terryville, CT, and his fiancée Mary Daleski of Stratford, CT, her daughter Halina Sybal of New Britain, CT, her brother Dennis Tyburski of Bristol, CT, her three sisters Lorrain DiMauro of Bristol, CT, Eileen Peruta of Wethersfield, CT and Linda Dykas of Cromwell, CT., her six grandchildren Dee-Anna, Michael, Desiree, Austin, Devin and Patricia her great grandchildren Brandon, Jaydion and Lilah as well as several nieces and nephews. Janet was predeceased by her husband Bruno Zalot and her son John Zalot.

Funeral rites for Janet will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington, Ave., New Britain, CT., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
