Carol A. Maikowski, 57, of New Britain, Ct., died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018 at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was a lifelong resident of New Britain, Ct. and was the daughter of the late Henry and Florence (Pilkiewicz) Maikowski. She graduated from Mary Immaculate Academy, New Britain and Tunxis Community College, Farmington, Ct. Carol was a member of St. Jerome Church, New Britain and their choir; and an avid New York Yankees, New York Giants and UCONN Women’s Basketball fan. Carol was also a longtime member of the former New Britain Chorale.
Carol is survived by her two brothers, Robert Maikowski of New Britain, CT and Thomas Maikowski and his wife, Wanda of Dallas, TX; her three nephews, Ryan Maikowski and his wife, Megan of Austin, TX, Brett Maikowski and his wife, Ashley and their daughter, Scarlett of Sachse, TX, and Troy Maikowski and his wife, Brianna of Dallas, TX. The Maikowski Family extends a special note of thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of 9 Central at Hartford Hospital, for the compassionate care they gave Carol.
Funeral rites for Carol will be held Monday, December 31, 2018 from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, Ct. with the procession departing at 9:15 am, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Rd, New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
