Tina, John & Amanda, I cannot begin to express my deepest sympathy, it is so heartbreaking and hard to grasp. Stephen felt like part of our family and is intertwined with all of my memories of Kory's childhood. I cannot remember when they were not together - even when we moved out of state he was there for all the important events of Kory's life - He was a true friend, a genuinely kind, gentle soul - a rare treasure and free spirit. I will always be grateful and honored to have had the gift of knowing him and of that contagious smile and laugh. I will treasure all those memories in my heart always - "boy scouts, T-ball, fishing, cigars, eating lobster, sunglasses, vinyls, Grateful Dead" just to name a few. I spent many Memorial Day weekends with John, Tina, Stephen, Amanda and their friends at Lime Rock. From the time he could talk, Stephen knew all the car numbers, sponsors and drivers. Name a driver and he would give you the number and sponsor. Name the sponsor and he would give you the driver and number. We had many philosophical discussions around the campfire that made both of us aware of 'other' ways of thinking about things. I miss him very much already.

His passion was his music and he could introduce you to a world that only he understood . I'm going to miss him everyday and I know there won't be a day that he doesn't cross our minds. Tina, I remember the first time I met Stephen, in my backyard, during the summer with you ,and Amanda. he couldn't have been more than 9, or 10. He was so happy, and just a very nice kid. We had a lot of laughs, and a real good time. Michael had taken him for a ride on his motorcycle, and you had told me later, that Stephen had loved it.
