Wanda Catherine Zaniewski, 80, of New Britain, went to our Lord on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Wanda was born in Boston on May 9, 1934. She was predeceased by the love of her life and husband, Alex Zaniewski. Wanda was the daughter of the late Frank and Wanda Kulas. She is survived by her children, Alan F. Zaniewski, James Zaniewski and Barbara Duval and her husband Paul. Wanda leaves behind seven grandchildren, Michael Yagmin, Alan J. Zaniewski, Joshua Zaniewski, Krystyna Zaniewski, Jillian Zaniewski, Miranda Zaniewski and Alexis Zaniewski. She also leaves behind a brother Edward Harevich.
Wanda was a member of Holy Cross Church. She loved Jesus with all her heart. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking for all who entered her home. She was giving and loving. Her family was most important in life and she prayed every day for all of them.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, May 19, 2014 at 10 am at Holy Cross Church, Farmington Avenue, New Britain. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain, CT. There are no calling hours. The Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave, New Britain, has charge of arrangements.
