Vivian T. Haddad, of Newington, CT., our angel, passed away on Tuesday, February 9th at the age of 83. Born in Springfield, MA on November 24, 1932, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Eva Haddad of Worcester, MA. Vivian resided in Berlin for many years before moving to Newington, where she made her home with her sister Dolores and brother in law Joseph Gustin. Vivian worked for the New Britain Herald for many years before moving on to sales support at The Emhart Corporation and The Edwards Co. Viv loved her family, and her happiest times were spent helping others. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her dedication to her ailing brother was to be admired by all around her. She leaves behind a wonderful family who loved her more than words can express. She was predeceased by her brother Albert E. Haddad, of New Britain. She is survived by her brother Thomas Haddad of Worcester, MA, her sister and brother in law Dolores and Joseph Gustin of Newington, CT, and her sister Loretta Kallil of Toledo, Ohio. She also leaves her nieces and nephews who loved her very much: Susan Helal and her husband Roger, Laurel Klepacki and her husband Donald, Jody Viola and her husband Stephen, John Haddad and his wife Susan, Lisa Dunham and her husband David, Charles Kallil III and his wife Barbara, Ann Brothers and her husband James, Krist Kallil and his wife Sharon, and Cheryl Leathers and her husband Phil. She also leaves behind her great nieces and nephews whom she adored. We’d like to thank the wonderful caring staff at Avery Heights in Hertford for their compassion, love, and care that they showed Viv during the last two years.
Funeral Rites for Vivian will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church , 301 West Main St., New Britain, CT. Committal service and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at St. George Greek Orthodox Church Saturday from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. A Trisagion service will be held Saturday at 10:30a.m. at the church.
