Stanislawa Zysek, 79, of West Hartford, CT died Friday February 19, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Stanislawa was born in Kleitz, Poland and was the daughter of the late Franciszek and Katarzyna (Skowron) Kawa. She worked as a cook for St. Lucian’s Residence, New Britain, CT for several years. Stanislawa was also a member of Sacred Heart Church, New Britan, CT. She enjoyed spending her quality time watching the Polish channel, gardening, cooking, planting and playing with her dog Maggie.
Stanislawa is survived by her loving daughter Mary Lazarus and her husband John of West Hartford, CT, her beloved grandchildren Jonathan and Amanda Lazarus, three sisters, Boleslwa Kir, Sofia Orszywa both of Poland, and Matilda Otreba of New Britain, CT, her nephew John Otreba and his wife Sophia and their children Thomas and Cathy Otreba all of New Britain, CT, her niece Maria Wojtaszek and her husband Stanley and their children Mark Wojtaszek of New Britain, CT and Ala Derderian and her husband Arthur of Canton, CT.
Funeral Rites for Stanislawa will be held Tuesday February 23, 2016 with the procession departing at 10a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. New Britain, CT. Committal Service and final resting place will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, 662 Burritt St., New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A.
