William Paul Vincent, 69, of Manchester, CT. passed away Friday April 15, 2016 after a long illness. He was born February 16, 1947 in Acushnet, MA but lived a majority of his life in Manchester CT. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1965 and from Northeastern University, Boston, MA in 1970. He obtained his master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was an avid member of the Mensa organization and the Manchester VFW Men’s Auxiliary.
He is survived by his mother Blanche Vincent of Marlborough MA, his sister Joanne Honer and her husband Kenneth of Marlborough Ma, his brothers; Ronald Vincent and his wife Nancy of New Britain, CT and Timothy Vincent and his wife Roberta of Pittsburg PA and several nieces and nephews. Also his lifelong family friend Patrick Sanzo and his wife Michelle of Washington. He was predeceased by his father Manual J. Vincent, Jr. The family would like to express their gratitude to the ICU staff and the Reverend Julie Mudge who work for Manchester Memorial Hospital for their loving care of William during his stay in the hospital. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Rockville United Methodist Church, 147 Grove St, Vernon, CT 06066. There will be no calling hours. A private burial will be in East Cemetery, Manchester, CT at the convenience of the family. The Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave, New Britain, CT, has charge of arrangements.
