Louis J. Wanat, Jr., 96, of New Britain, CT., died Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Glastonbury Health Care Center. Louis was a lifelong New Britain resident, who enjoyed fishing, bowling and golfing. He was a member of Holy Cross Church, New Britain, CT.
Louis is survived by his son Louis Wanat, III and his wife Susan, his son in law Gerald LaMontagne and his sister Dorothy Such, his grandchildren Gerald LaMontagne and his wife Cristine, Michelle Cope and her husband Jason, Noel LaMontagne and his wife Patricia, Jennifer Wanat and fiancée Justin Sibert, Louis (Jay) Wanat and his wife Sylwia, and his great grandchildren Keenan and Corinne LaMontagne, Peighton and Kolby Cope and Parker Wanat. Louis was predeceased by his wife Veronica and daughter Susan LaMontagne.
A Celebration of Lou’s life will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT. Burial will be private.
